Motorola Unveils New Moto G Turbo Edition

Motorola Just Added New Device To Its Portfolio

After so much waiting Motorola announced the successor of 3rd Gen Moto G the New Moto G Turbo Edition to Indian markets. However its exclusively available only on Flipkart.com with some lucrative offers to lure customers like 100% cash back to first 100 customers till Dec 13 and upto 6000 off for exchanging a old smartphone of any make. Moto G Turbo Edition have better proccesor, turbo charging, dust proff and water proof body.

Moto G Turbo Edition looks same like previous moto G version but a bit of rugged version. Motorola did change some stuff under the hood to make it more powerful to compete with other rivals. Moto G turbo have octa core processor. Snapdragon 615 which is usually found in high end devices is really a feast to mid range users. Moreover the main feature motorola announced in mid range smartphones are water and dust devices which lets the user to make use of mobiles in rough situations but upto a certain extent. Other features like RAM camera and storage remained the same as in Moto G 3rd gen. 

Design  

When we compare both devices Moto G 3rd gen and Moto G turbo it looks same and nothing much to differentiate. On Front Moto G Turbo have 5 inch HD display cornring gorilla glass 3 protection. The rear is covered with matte finish removable back cover. 

Camera
Moto G turbo have same 13 MP rear and 5 MP front camera as Moto G 3rd gen. Moto G turbo rear camera have 4128x3096p  dual LED, autofocus, auto HDR. It can record Full Hd 1920x1080 videos at 30 fps. In addition motorola claims zero shutter lag and new video stabilization features as well. 

Performance
Moto G Turbo comes with heavy 1.5 GHz 615 Snapdragon octa core processor with adreno 405 which lets you to play heavy games with zero lag at all. It have 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM memory. Talking about the operating system it comes with Lollipop 5.1 which will appeal the users to buy it. 

Display 
Moto G Turbo have 5 inch 1280x720 HD display. It would be good if motorola provided Full HD display. But this display do the job very well screen looks vivid and sharp even if u decreased brightness to save battery.

Battery 
Moto G Turbo have 2470 mAH battery same as previous version but the main merit motorola added in this device is turbo charging which enables you to charge your mobile in straight 25-30 mins which saves time. Generally this feature is found in high end motorola devices but introducing this feature in mid range segment is really a competition breaking move. So in 30 mintutes of charging you can use your device for more than a day varying moderate to heavy use. 

Price 
As it is available only on flipkart with price tag of  14,999 INR.

Conclusion
In our opinion its a good device same as moto g 3rd but having fast processor and good battery life. So if your budget is around Rs 15000 so this is not a bad deal.

Microsoft Unveils Two New Windows 10 Smartphones  

After a long wait finally Microsoft introduced two new monster specs devices in the market which are New LUMIA 950 and 950 XL with Windows 10 OS and poweful hardware which makes these devices top on the line. 

Lumia 950 is mostly same as its big brother 950 XL but there are some notable changes such as camera hump is smaller as compared to  950 XL. Talking about the main advantages lumia 950 have a powerful 20 MP camera which provides you 4K video recording and on the bottom having a USB type C port just like android flagship mobiles. Moreover Snapdragon 808 features Liquid Cooling so device will not get hot on heavy loads. Additionally the most important asset of both devices is Wireless Charging.

Lumia 950 XL is a big phone but not as big as Lumia 1520 it looks good in hands and easy to handle. Matte on the back feel good in hands. Lumia 950 XL comes with Windows 10 OS and  5.7' AMOLED display with Glance Screen just like other high end lumia devices which makes it more appealing to watch. New generation SoC offers amazing thermal management providing you more standby just like Lumia 950 it also have Liquid Cooling System to manage temperature on heavy loads. Microsoft promises no heating in both devices and blazing fast performance. Lumia 950 XL have matte polycarbonate shell  

making it feeling more solid and grippy. According to Microsoft it will compete with other high end mobiles of Samsung, Apple and other competitors.

Microsoft promises the sale of both devices will start from November. Lumia 950 is priced at $550 in United States and Lumia 950 XL is priced at $650 in US. Prices may vary from country to country.

Conclusion 

Both the phones seems on par with other high end mobiles of Samsung, LG, Apple. USB type C makes it more like other leader mobiles. Luckily Microsoft stick to the PureView technology only because of PureView technology which was making inferior windows phone competitive with market leaders. Camera button on both devices is really a plus point.

Google just hit the market with two brand new powerful and stylish handsets  Nexus 5X And 6P. Nexus 5X has been manufactured by LG and Nexus 6P is manufactured by chinese multinational Huawei. Nexus 5X is a gift to those who miss nexus 4 and 5 and Nexus 6P is manufactured as per new trends which comprises  cutting edge technology, larger display making it a phablet. Both phones have a new fingerprint scanner called Nexus Imprint which give you more quick access and more security to your device. Interesting thing in both smartphones is that both the smartphones work on Project Fi network which makes these smartphones a gem among others. 

The Nexus 5X Specifications and Features

New fingerprint scanner is introduced to give more quick access and security to your data and android pay. The device will come with android's latest edition  6.0 Marshmallow (cheers).

Nexus 6P Specifications and Features

Firstly, Nexus 6P is the first mobile of full metal body in nexus series. Nexus 6P will compete directly with top smartphones Apple Iphone  6S, LG G4 and Samsung S6. Nexus 6P have 5.7inch AMOLED WQHD makes it more appeling and cool display with 2560x1440 pixel panel with pixel density of 518 ppi. Making your videos, movies, and games more sugary to eyes. Review Videocon A30 & A20 ahead of challenges

Videocon the manufacturers best known for its home appliances, recently expended its Smartphone range with the addition of two dual-sim devices A30 & A20. Both the phones are targeted at the budget segment that is ruled by likes of Micromax, Lava and Karbonn. While Videocon A30 features a dual core processor and is priced at Rs 7299 its smaller sibling A20 costs Rs 4999.

But do these two devices have what it takes to topple the current segment leaders and capture significant market share? Let’s find out:

Design

When it comes to design Videocon A20 beats its bigger brother as it looks similar to Samsung Galaxy Ace plus .The screen is outlined by a chrome bezel and has four buttons underneath the front panel also has the usual sensors through the presence of VGA camera was surprising to us the rear panel of the Smartphone is a fingerprint magnet and feature a 3 MP camera and speaker grille Videocon A20 is easy to hold and looks good in hand.

Coming to A30 we were a bit disappointed with the design language followed by the manufacturer as the more feature rich device, A30 was expected to look as good as its smaller brother, if not better. It features a black colored front, while the rear is painted white. The sensors, VGA camera and haptic keys are present on the front panel of this phone as well,0 while a 5MP camera with flash and speaker grille are placed on the backside.

Hardware

Videocon A30 feature a 4 inch screen and runs on a 1GHZ dual-core processor, paired with 512 MB RAM. The dual-sim phone has 4gb ROM and support for MicroSD card upto 32GB capacity. Powered by a 1500mAH battery, the phone has a connectivity feature like 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.0 and microUSB and battery packs juice worth 1350mAH.

Going by the spec sheet of the two devices, Videocon strategy is to ensure that its two smartphones have not just comparable but slightly better features than most their rivals. Therefore, A30 can take down rivals like Micromax A68 Smarty 4.0 and Karbonn A7 Plus due to its dual-core 1GHZ processor, even though most other specs remain the same Similar in the case for Videocon  A20, whose 3.5-inch screen gives it an edge over rivals since more phones in this price segment feature a 3.5 inch display

Software

Videocon A30 comes with Android 4.0 ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) out of the box and has a few pre loaded apps like document editor  and gesture control (especially useful while finding contacts). The phone also comes with a few games but you would have to pay for them , so they are not of much use.

The all new A20 runs on two generation old Android OS Gingerbread (Android 2.3), not the widely  used Android 4.0. The chief logic behind this could be the meagre RAM that the device packs, since Ice Cream Sandwich requires a lot of RAM for smooth functioning and A20 would have to compromise on performance on that count. Apart from that, the phone has the same in-built apps as its bigger sibiling and handles them all equally well.

Performance

Videocon A30 gave us a pleasant surprise when it comes to performance as the phone had minimal lag and could handle moderate usage with ease. All credit goes to its dual-core 1GHZ processor by Qualcomm, through we were not too happy with the touchscreen. During Day-to-day usage  the screen did not feel smooth to the touch and even seemed like a resistive display during heavy gaming.

Similarly, Videocon A20 also did well on the benchmarks due to its 1GHZ Qualcomm processor, though we would have appreciated a little bit more RAM for the hungry apps a regular user usually downloads. Nevertheless, for a sub-Rs 5000 Android phone, Videocon A20 does well in terms of day-to-day use.

Apps and web browsing worked well and battery life was decent, though we had to charge both the phones more than once  a day after a bit of browsing. Camera performance was also decent for both phones, but do not expect the best of imaging capabilities since  we have taken into account the paltry price tag while writing the review.

Conclusion

Videocon A30 and A20  are budget devices and hence do not offer anything more than basic features. The phones were largely lag-free during our review and can boast of slightly better specification than their rivals, giving them a slight edge. However, some users may be miffed that Videocon  A20 runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Nevertheless, the build quality is sturdy and performance during phone calls is also great. Moreover, dual-sim compatibility and nifty feature like video calling at budget price as well as pre-loaded gesture control and document editor do add to the overall package.
